Everyone needs a handbag of right size!
I do agree that a large handbag can make the carrier look slender and it can hold whatever I want to put in, but it is not good for health.
The problem with small handbag is that its interior capacity is too small.
What a difficult situation!
However, I believe that girls of short statures can sure carry large handbags. I have a white replica Balenciaga Motorcycle bag which is also a large bag, but I specially choose a medium size so that I can get two birds with one stone.
